Will of Samuel Brooker of East Peckham, Kent. Yoeman.

Dated 1788 December 12

All such debts as I shall justly owe at my decease shall be paid.
To my wife Mary £3 within 2 months after my decease.
To Elizabeth and George, the 2 children of my son Edward, deceased, £7 apiece.
To William, Mary and Elizabeth, the children of my son John, deceased, £7 apiece.
To Elizabeth, daughter of my daughter Susannah, deceased, £7.
To my daughter Elizabeth, wife of Stephen Doust, £5.
To my daughter Ann, wife of William Francis, £40.
To be paid to such of the said legatees as shall at the time of my decease be of age 21 years within 12 months next oafter my decease, and to such of them as shall not be of that age at the time of my decease within 3 months after they shall arrive at the said age, without any interest for the same.
The residue of my ready money, debts, goods, chattels and person esteateto my three sons Joshua, Thomas and George equally divided, upon condition that they shall pay to my said wife, Mary, yearly during her life an annuity or yearly sum of £6, to be paid half yearly….
My said 3 sons, within 1 month after my decease, are to give to my said wife their Bond in the penalty of £150, whereby they shall jointly and severally bind themselves, their heirs etc., to pay the said bequest to them of the residue of my personal estate and I give the same to my said wife.
Provided that my executors shall immediately after my decease deliver to my said wife the bed on which we usually lie, with at pair of by best sheets and 2 blankets, which I give to her….
My said 3 sons Joshua, Thomas and George to be executors.
